Personal

Family
I live in Munich and enjoy balancing technical work with outdoor activities, travel, good food, and time with my wife Joanne, and my dog, Cola. Outside of work, I like learning new technologies, building side projects, skiing, cooking, and exploring ideas that combine identity, AI, and better user experiences.
Personality
Friends and colleagues would probably describe me as practical, curious, and persistent. I like to understand how things really work under the hood, not just follow the surface-level answer. My working style is structured but hands-on: I enjoy architecture and planning, but I also like getting close to the implementation, debugging details, and turning ideas into something usable. I value clear communication, honest feedback, and solutions that are simple enough to maintain after the project is delivered. I can be a bit detail-oriented — sometimes maybe too much — but usually for a good reason: identity systems are one of those areas where small details can become big problems later.
Fun facts
I am building Meet4Trips, a travel-planning side project that combines trips, meetups, and AI-assisted itinerary generation. I enjoy skiing in the Alps, experimenting with recipes, and occasionally dreaming about cars that are probably not financially responsible — at least not yet. I also like finding practical ways to use AI in identity governance, especially for access request guidance, policy violation remediation, and making IAM less painful for end users.
